The beach at sunrise has always been my most sacred time - when I commune with God, cleanse my spirit, and prepare my heart for whatever the day will bring. This painting emerged from an image of a beautiful glowing sun with a piece of driftwood that had been sculpted by wind and waves into the perfect form of prayer itself. It stood there on the sand like a natural altar, silhouetted against the golden light spilling across the water, reminding me that all of nature is in constant conversation with the Divine.  This artwork is my invitation to you to pause, to breathe, to remember that every sunrise is both a gift and a promise.
